Bio
J.E. Taylor, MBA
Hi, J. here—author/publisher, former healthcare executive, and firm believer that a good spreadsheet and a little humor can fix just about anything.
With a master’s degree in business administration from Baker University and a certificate in AI Strategy & Implementation from Harvard Medical School, my career has taken me from growing healthcare networks and leading multimillion-dollar turnarounds to managing acquisitions, launching new programs, and streamlining operations for greater efficiency. Each experience sharpened the leadership and problem-solving skills I now carry into my writing.
Now, I bring those same leadership principles into my books—designed to tackle modern challenges with practical strategies and a touch of wit. From Listen Up: A Practical Guide to Building Relationships and Emotional Intelligence, to The Language of Generations: Resolving Communication Challenges Across Generations with Empathy and Humor, to Artificial Intelligence for Beginner Authors: Master the 7 Steps to Building Prompts That Power Your Entire Author Business, my work is about helping readers adapt, connect, and thrive in a changing world.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me exploring new places, snapping far too many photos of my dogs, or fine-tuning my next big idea with—yes—a spreadsheet.

I’m J.E. Taylor, MBA, a retired healthcare executive who has transitioned to being an author. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats, from owning a few businesses to spending a couple of decades in the healthcare industry. I’ve also written several training manuals and educational pieces throughout my career, so moving into book writing felt like a natural progression.
I’ve always been fascinated with observing people and how they think and communicate—because let’s be honest, people-watching is the world’s best free entertainment. Whether it’s deciphering the hidden meanings behind polite small talk or figuring out why we all pretend to know what “ghosting” means, human behavior never ceases to amaze me.
From my early days as a business owner to my years as a healthcare executive, I’ve seen how effective communication can change lives—and I’m passionate about exploring that in my life and my writing. I’m excited to continue blending practical advice with engaging storytelling and just enough humor to keep us all from taking ourselves too seriously. After all, personal growth is important, but so is laughing at our own quirks and occasional “oops” moments.
If you enjoy my book—or even if you just get a chuckle or two out of it—I’d be thrilled if you left a review. Your feedback not only helps other readers discover my work, but it also gives me an excuse to obsessively check the reviews page. So, thank you for reading, and who knows? You might even inspire my next book!
